Ah, but what makes the 'best' golf course? Well, that answer will never be truly answered but here you will find what we consider to be the best golf courses.
Golf Empire founder, Ed Battye, has played the majority of golf courses featured in the most popular lists and below he lists them in order of his personal preference. We hope to plug any gaps in the near future.
We certainly do not claim these to be definitive lists so please don't be offended if you disagree with the order. It's merely one man's personal opinion on the many fabulous golf courses across Great Britain & Ireland.
Hopefully this provides a different and more interesting angle than a list created by a panel which can often dilute the flavour of any given ranking.
